Clane Óg Academy
There will be no Clane Óg academy this Saturday due to the Bank Holiday weekend. The academy will resume next Saturday the 12th of June at 10am on the main pitch
Fixtures
Matches are thankfully restarting this coming week and we have asked all coaches to add their fixtures to ClubZap. Keep an eye on ClubZap and on our web site. 100 spectators will be permitted to attend GAA games. This number is in addition to players, team personnel, stewards or media attendees. It is hoped that up to 200 spectators will be permitted from July 5th. We are currently evaluating options to cater for attendance at Senior matches and we will announce ASAP.
Our senior footballers are out on Saturday, June 12th - 6pm at home to Sallins in League Division 2. Our senior hurlers take on Leixlip away on June 15th at 8pm in League Division 1A.The latest Kildare GAA fixtures for Hurling and Football are available here.

Brian McLoughlin who started last weekend in the win over Laois and scored as well as Shane both featured in an article on the Kildare Nationalist this week. Click Here. "Shane O’Sullivan replaced his club pal in the second half and looked like a man determined not to be left out the next day. We may have raved about his talent on this page before. We’ll do so again. The most natural forward prospect in Kildare."
Congrats to Sean Christanseen who was nominated as Captain for the Clane Senior Hurling team this season.
Best of luck to our senior hurlers (Paddy McKenna, Mark Doyle, Cian Shanahan, Caolan Smith and Sean Chistanseen) on the Kildare panel who face Roscommon this weekend. They have had a great start to the season and will look to continue their great form this Sunday. The match will be streamed live on YouTube and commentary on Kfm.
Congratulations to Cian Shanahan who was also selected on the Kildare U20 panel for the upcoming season.
We have tremendous representation on the Kildare Camogie senior and junior squads this year. For the senior team they enjoyed big league wins but narrowly missed out on progression to the Qtr-Finals on score difference only. Congrats to Ciara Egan, Caoilfhionn Hallissy, Nicole Malcomson (Captain) and Ciara McAndrew. For the Junior team they have developed well and learned a lot from their matches. Congrats to Derbhla Martin, Roisin Maguire (Vice-Captain), Dalison Modliar and Rebecca Lynch.
Parking and Drop Offs for Matches and Training
As you are all aware the club development is well underway. This has put a major strain on our parking space, particularly at the top pitches. We have asked for the safety of all that NOBODY drives up to the top pitches except for coaches carrying equipment and gear. Everyone needs to park in a designated parking space inside the club or outside (if none are available). Please DO NOT park at the drop off zone - we need to keep this clear. Our young players are walking up to the pitches from the drop off zone so yet again we ask in the interests of safety that NOBODY drives up there except for coaches/mentors with equipment. Clubhouse Bar
We plan to reopen the clubhouse bar on Friday, June 11th with an outdoor only bar service. Initially we will open from Friday-Sunday and we hope to expand the opening hours to weekdays when restrictions are further eased in July. You may have seen that we have requested expressions of interest for the leasing, running and operating of the Clubhouse Café & Bar - further details are available here.

Clane GAA Online Bingo
Our online bingo is now finished for the season. Thanks very much to all of our players and especially to Seamus Finn for organising and presenting over the last few months. It was a great outlet for many in our community at such a difficult time during lockdown.
