Last night we held our Special General Meeting online with over 100 members in attendance.
During the meeting, there was a presentation on the proposal to erect a communications tower on a small unused piece of ground at the back of our club and after an in depth question and answer session the proposal was put to a vote. The proposal was unanimously backed by club members which means that we as a club have given approval to Cellnex the provider to seek the required planning permission to erect the communications tower on club land. In return the club will be paid an initial lump sum plus an annual income over the 35 year contract IF the required planning permission is approved and the tower is erected. Any income will be used for club capital development projects including Phase 1 Part 2 (floodlighting) of the club development plan.
