Clane GAA Club are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of John Blessing, (Celbridge, Co. Kildare and formerly of Newtownforbes, Co. Longford), peacefully, at the Mater Hospital and surrounded by his family.

John, served with distinction for the Club as both a player and a manager. John, as manager, led Clane to three Senior County Finals in 1990/91 and 92. Losing in 1990 against Naas he subsequently won in 1991, against Nass and 1992 against St. Laurence’s.

John will be sadly missed by his loving sons, Peter and Neill, daughter, Ann Marie and sister Mary, daughter-in-law Rachel, his deceased wife Martina’s Mum Siobhan, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, relatives and a very large circle of friends.
