Hello Everyone,

From Monday 23rd March Condrons SuperValu Clane in conjunction with Clane GAA are setting up a hotline service for those vulnerable groups in our community to allow them to keep their social distance and avoid coming into the store.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE FOLLOWING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY. We need everyone's full cooperation in order to make this work.

What is a vulnerable group? (taken from HSE website)
* You are 60 years of age and over - people over 75 are particularly vulnerable
* You have a long-term medical condition - for example, heart disease, lung disease, diabetes, cancer or high blood pressure
* You have a weak immune system (immunosuppressed)

We can also offer this service to those families who have members with disabilities or families that have all been put into self isolation and you have no support network to help you.

How does it work?
We have set up a hotline where you text your name and number.

Our volunteers will then call you back between 10am and 2pm, Mon - Fri and take your order over the phone. We will deliver to you free of charge between 4pm and 8pm and we assure you we will call you before we arrive to let you know our arrival time. In order to be able to provide the best possible service to all those vulnerable persons in our community we would ask that you try to limit your shopping to once a week, where possible.

This service is being provided by volunteers who are members of Clane GAA Club in conjunction with Condron’s SuperValu Clane. We are also fully supported by An Garda Síochána.

We would ask that only those in real need of this service - avail of this service in order to help us help those most in need. This service is completely independent of our normal online delivery service. Please note our normal Click & Collect service is suspended until further notice. As a lot of our older friends and relatives may not be on social media we need your help to spread the word and help make the vulnerable people in our community aware of this service.

We are encouraging cashless payment where you can pay by card over the phone but for those who do not have a credit or debit card, we will look after you.

In order for this to work for everyone, you must follow these guidelines;

‼️TEXT the text line and leave your name and number
‼️DO NOT TEXT YOUR ORDER to the textline
‼️We PROMISE we will call you back
‼️Have your order ready (i.e. your shopping list) so that when we call you back, we can take your order quickly and move on to the next order
‼️This service is for the vulnerable persons in our community and is completely separate to our online shopping service.
‼️Please DO NOT CALL the textline number re online shopping order queries - you should use the normal helpline number in relation to online queries

TRUST US, we will look after you but we need you to work with us and follow the above guidelines in order to ensure we can look after everyone.
