The Bank Holiday Weekend is here!!!
There are lots of activities both on and off the pitch for you to enjoy at Clane GAA this bank holiday weekend. Live Music, big matches and great food. Read on….
Football Notes
Best of luck to our U17 and U21 Football teams as they commence their respective campaigns.
The U21's will be looking to retain their crown but face a tough away trip to Naas on Bank Holiday Monday, with a 2pm throw-in.
Our U17s start with a home fixture against Celbridge on Saturday afternoon in Conneff Park with a 3pm throw-in.
Commiserations to our Minor Footballers who lost out to a very strong Naas team in the county final. This was the 5th county final in a row the minors have qualified for and despite losing last Sunday they performed very well all year across 15 competitive games, losing only twice and reaching 2 finals.
Congrats also to our U12 Football team who won the U12 Kildare North Board Division 1 championship. This is the 2nd year in a row Clane has won this and a great testament to the work and effort by the players, their parents and coaches. Our U12 Division 3 team also reached the final but lost out to a strong Blessington team. Check out the match report here.
Hurling Notes
Best wishes to our U21 Hurlers who recently qualified for the U21 B County Final overcoming Kilcock in the semi-final. They will be looking to retain the cup they won last year and will face Coill Dubh or Leixlip in the final - details to be confirmed.
Camogie Notes
Our U13 Camógs play in the Division 2 final against Maynooth on Sunday in Clane at 12.30pm.
