Minor B Hurling Champions!
Congratulations to our Minor Hurlers who claimed the Haven Hire Minor B Hurling Championship in fine style last Sunday in St. Conleths Park with a comprehensive win over Moorefield. Playing as part of an amalgamated team with Kilcock (St. Michaels), our fine young men put in a massive performance of skill and determination which saw Captain Ger Darcy bring home the cup. In what was a real team effort there were some stand out performers, with Aaron Connolly, Cian Shanahan and Eoin Hayes particularly catching the eye. But it was Sam Hillyer at top of the left who did untold damage to Moorefield; he was a constant threat throughout, notching 2-5 and rightfully claiming the man of the Match award as voted by the media reps present.
Congratulations to the team and management.

Minor Football Semi-Final Replay – Clane Vs St. Laurences
Hawkfield, 8pm
This evening see’s our Minor Footballers play their replay fixture against St. Laurences in the A Championship semi-final. The sides could not be separated last Friday evening after 77 mins of action. Clane were in control of the fixture for long periods while never being totally dominant or out of reach. A momentary lapse of discipline saw Clane reduced to 14 mean early in the 2nd half; this gave St. Laurences the incentive they needed to rally and they whittled away at Clane’s advantage and took the lead approaching full time with a well worked goal. Clane showed great fight and retook the lead themselves early in stoppage time only to go behind again with time running out. They kept their heads, displayed great maturity and belief in their play and worked the ball up the field to grab the equaliser.
They will have it all to do again this evening against a strong and dogged St. Laurences team who won’t stop until the final whistle.
Best of luck to the team and management. You can follow live updates from the Clane GAA Twitter Account – Click Here.
