Congratulations to our U16 Football team on a fine win against Athy in the championship Qtr Final on Friday evening by 4-14 to 3-8. They now face Moorefield in the semi-final tomorrow (Sunday) in Hawkfield at ***1.30pm***. Best of luck to the team an management.
We had two U13 hurling teams in action yesterday evening; our D1 team faced Naas and after a poor start they put in a fine performance but didn't manage to claw back the big start they gave Naas. Meanwhile our young D3 team faced St. Laurences and despite losing they can be proud of their performance.
Our Senior footballers have their Preliminary Qtr Final fixture today against Moorefield. Throw in is at 5.45pm in St. Conleths Park in Newbridge. Please come out and support the team.
Our young Camógs are making the trip to Croke Park this Sunday to watch the All Ireland final; no doubt they will be inspired by the big day out and particularly since we have 5 of our U14 Camógs (Meabh Maguire, Emma Lynch, Sarah Power, Anna Doyle and Aoife Mullahy) who are on the county team who will be marching in the parade at half time! Best of luck to all the girls and have a great day out.
Meanwhile we would like to offer our best wishes from Clane to Ray Kelly who is refereeing the Senior Camogie All Ireland Final (for the 2nd time). He brings his team along with him Mockey Lynch and Mark Conville from Clane as well as Paddy Nolan and Anthony Moore from Eir Og and Athy.
Finally the official ABC Clane Gaa Gym opening takes place this morning - please check out the news article for more details.
Have a great weekend all.
