Our U17 Camogie team suffered a narrow defeat last evening away to Johnstownbridge. All bar 2 of our team will be under age again next year and the team and management put on a fine display and took the lead mid way through the 2nd half. They will take great heart from this display against their strong and experienced opponents. Best wishes to Niamh Henry who sustained a nasty knee injury towards the end of the match. We hope she recovers well and is back playing soon.
Our Community Games hurlers play in the All Ireland final today in the wonderful Univ. of Limerick campus. They won their semi-final convincingly and will now play the final in the afternoon. Further details on the games and the squad available here.
Our Senior Footballers are back in action today against Athy in St. Conleths Park, Newbridge with a throw-in time of 2.45pm (Note the change of time). After staging a great comeback last week against Johnstownbridge only to lose out by a single point in the end, they will be hoping for better fortunes today. Please come out and support the team.
Our U14 Footballers kick off their championship campaign at home to a strong Milltown team on Sunday morning. Milltown recently narrowly lost out in the Féile A county final to Naas so a big test awaits the team. Throw-in at Conneff Park at 10.30am.
Our Minor footballers start their campaign Wednesday evening 21st of August against Celbridge in Hawkfield. Throw-in at 7.30pm. Meanwhile our U16s are out again on Friday next away to Suncroft with a 7.30pm throw-in.
Best of luck to all teams!
