Reminder, that the club have scheduled a child protection workshop for Tuesday 26th Feb from 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm in the Upstairs Function Room
In line with best practice all Clane GAA coaches are Garda vetted and are required to attend a child protection workshop. This is a mandatory course for all underage coaches across the codes. The workshop is very interactive and the workshop has always had great feedback from participants.
The workshop involves group based discussions & presentations facilitated by tutors, case studies to outline best practice.
Aim:
- Understanding the rationale behind the “Code of Best Practice in Youth Sport”.
- Identify good practices when working with young people.
- Create a better atmosphere that promotes positive adult-child relationships.
- Identify the role of the Player, Coach , Mentor, Parent.
All mentors/coaches are required to complete this.
For those who have not completed it, there is availability on this Tuesdays course.
